The Center for Photographic Art is proud to present The Californians, a three-person exhibition by acclaimed photographers Ian Bates, Tracy L. Chandler, and Janet Delaney. Each of these artists lives in California and is making work in and about California, though their work is very different. Each of these photographers also has new monographs published by Deadbeat Club! CPA has partnered with Deadbeat Club to create this beautiful and poignant exhibition featuring works from each book. We’re honored that Ian, Tracy, and Janet will be here in person to discuss their work as well as their book projects with publishers Clint and Alex Woodside. There will be a book signing in the gallery during the reception after the artist talk, so all you book collectors, get down to Carmel for the January 10th celebration of photography, California, and the photographic book!
